About the team
Troy and Katie Williams created Art History for their own four children — then opened it up to other families and co-ops who wanted the same thing.

Former McKinsey & Co. consultant · Kellogg MBA
Troy has spent over two decades in strategy and leadership — McKinsey, then enterprise data work at large financial institutions. He wrote Art History so families and co-ops can study looking, craft, and beauty with academic seriousness, Scripture as the foundation rather than trim.

Health & Fitness Educator · Homeschool Mom · TCU BBA
Katie holds a BBA in Marketing and Communications from Texas Christian University. She teaches health and fitness and homeschools the couple's four children, ages 12–16. As the curriculum's first and most rigorous tester, Katie ensures every chapter works not just in theory, but at the kitchen table — where real learning happens. Her feedback has shaped the curriculum's tone, pacing, and practical application throughout.

“I wrote this curriculum because I saw a gap that bothered me. High schoolers were graduating without learning to see — beauty, truth, and the human condition in the images that shape them. Most electives named styles. Few taught looking. And the existing options either ignored faith or treated it as decoration. I wanted a course where Scripture is the foundation — Bezalel's skill, common grace, the Second Commandment — and students write looking journals from caves and Gothic light to the contemporary gallery.”
